Kellie Pickler Chooses a Beautiful Badgley Mischka Gown that We Offer at The White Dress!

We weren't surprised to hear that country girl Kellie Pickler chose designer's Mark & James of Badgley Mischka to design her dream wedding gown, but were pleasantly surprised to discover she chose a gown we carry here at the store! The White Dress aims to give Ottawa brides celebrity grade couture, and moments like this really confirm that! All the details are below courtesy of people.com, enjoy!

Bridezilla she wasn’t. When Kellie Pickler tapped Badgley Mischka for her wedding gown, she gave them total design freedom, she says. “I really didn’t ask for anything at all,” she tells PEOPLE. “They just took such great care of me and did it all. I just stood there and instantly fell in love with it.” The feeling was mutual, say designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka, who told PEOPLE they’ve been fans of Pickler’s since American Idol. “She has such a pure, kind spirit and we were thrilled when she asked us to design her wedding gown,” they said in a statement. “The classic ballgown silhouette is perfect for her amazing figure.” Pickler’s favorite detail on the ivory duchess satin strapless gown, which featured crystal beaded accents on the train? The tulle ballgown skirt, which could be removed to reveal a mini dress beneath. “I took the skirt off as soon as the ceremony was over and wore the short dress for the rest of the evening,” she says. The gown, however, is hardly a throwaway. “I will treasure, treasure that dress,” she says. “It’s such a classic, timeless gown that I would love to pass down to our children.” Pick up this week’s PEOPLE, for all the details on Kellie’s island wedding. –Eileen Finan, people.com

Tonight, Tuesday January 11th, Badgley Mischka will be featured on both Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, tune in to see one of The White Dress' most prized designers!!

2011's Top Bridal Trend Report

2011 is upon us and all of you fashion forward, style savvy bride's are probably looking to be on trend at your 2011 nuptials. Here's a list of the top 2011 trends in bridal couture as far as we can tell. And of course, everything you see below can be found in the boutique! Just remember, fashion fades, only style remains the same.. be true to yourself and trust your vision!

Fierce Fabrics this Season: Tulle and Organza, Especially in Overlays!

This Vera Wang trumpet incorporates many beautiful whimsical fabrics. The gown is finished with a french tulle overlay and dramatic organza sash & bow. A gown made in such light fabrics feels light, airy and ultra feminine.

This 2011 style by Vera Wang, just off the runway uses organza to soften the dramatic design. Both delicate and edgy, this gown speaks to both the fashionista and the princess in all of us!

Two Piece Gowns, Great for Reception Dresses or Upcoming Anniversary Date Nights!

Both of these designs by Badgley Mischka transform into cocktail length dresses by removing the skirts. Celebrities such as  Carrie Underwood and Nicole Ritchie have recently opted for double duty dresses. A cocktail length dress can be much more practical for busting a move at your reception!

One Shoulder, How Glam!

The 'Lucy' by Badgley Mischka features one flouncy floral strap. One shoulder gowns can be the perfect option for a bride who is torn between strapless vs. straps... and let's not forget the glamour factor! (p.s. this dress is also two pieces, there is a one shoulder cocktail dress under that fabulous skirt)

We are so thrilled to be bringing in Romona Keveza Collection this spring and this is undoubtedly one of our favorite styles! This one shoulder mermaid gown also captures the ruffle trend of 2011 and has that red carpet glamour feel to it, stunning!

Tulle Skirting, For the Ballerina Bride

You don't have to be a ballerina to desire a dreamy tulle ballgown for your big day, tulle skirts may be the most classic and feminine look out there. This design by Vera Wang sums it all up! (you may remember this dress from Bride Wars, a certain blond bubbly movie star just HAD to have it!)

Tulle doesn't always mean ballgown! Here's a sexy take on tulle by Monique Lhuillier.

Love for Lace

Vintage remains influential in bridal design this season.. meaning that vintage lace designs are still hot. If you're looking for timeless and soft, you may have a case of lace love.

Ravishing Ruffles, Fascinating Folds, Never-Ending Layers

It seems there is nothing more fashion forward than exquisite and almost unconventional gowns. Layers upon layers of fabric, folds, florals, ruffles all in a perfectly crafted silhouette is what a modern bridal gown is all about. Here are two examples of breathtaking creations by Vera Wang... for the show stopper bride.

Short and Sassy

Our current obsession by Romona Keveza, a short dress can be flirty, sophisticated, modern, edgy... If you can't bear to cover up your gorgeous gams, go with cocktail length couture!

The Statement Sash

Almost any gown can be accessorized with a great sash (plus defining the smallest part of your waist NEVER hurts!) Think Hilary Clinton or Khloe Kardashian who both donned Vera Wang sashes recently. Statement sashes are big this year as well, in a multitude of colours and styles. Floral, crystal, organza, elastic, you name it Vera Wang has one for every bride.

Modern and Chic Veiling

Here are a few examples of Sarah Gabriel's brilliant and modern take on veiling. Veils and headpieces can truly define the look you are trying to achieve, from traditional tulle veils to Spanish feeling mantilla veils, to flirty flowers or 40's era cages, don't be afraid to finish your look with a fabulous headpiece or veil.

Last but not least, SHOES!

This year nothing is off limits! Express yourself through your shoes... be unique, be fierce! Best of all chose something you can wear again and again, if you're anything like us you see shoes as an investment!

Happy Shopping in 2011, xx The White Dress
